Big flood 4 days before opening

The Slaney reopens on the 17th and with a dirty 4ft flood today (13th) we are keeping our fingers crossed that it will be in great order on the day.

As per last year the season runs to 16 September and the river is COMPULSARY CATCH AND RELEASE for salmon and sea trout over 40 cms. Only single barbless hooks are permitted to be used. River is FLY ONLY  upstream of the railway bridge in Enniscorthy. No worming permitted. A maximum of 3 seatrout under 40cms can be kept a day.
