2010 Catch Statistics ReleasedNovember 17, 2011
The 2010 Salmon and Sea Trout Catch Statistics have just been released and show that a total of 441 sea trout (over 40cms) were reported landed on the Slaney – 20% of the national Rod and line catch. Intuitively the number seems high and I wonder if anglers may be including fish below 40cms in error. While the river was closed for Salmon angling that year 17 salmon were reported as caught and released by anglers fishing for other species. This entry was posted in News, Salmon fishing reports.
