With the river open for salmon angling from May12 2011 it is more important than ever that anglers with an interest in the river actively support Slaney River Trust by joining and keeping up their membership.

How to Join

The cost of membership ~ at €35 per year ~ is modest and members enjoy considerable insurance benefits, a newsletter, field trips such as visits to the spawning redds – see our ‘Events’ section – and the opportunity to participate in and influence the Trust’s activities.

Charitable Donations

As registered charities, donations of €250 or more to Slaney River Trust Ltd or Slaney River Foundation Ltd in any year may qualify for tax relief. In general tax payers who pay tax on a self assessment basis, and corporations, can claim a deduction for the donation, while the Trust can gross up and reclaim tax where paid by a PAYE tax payer.

Those who wish to make a charitable donation to support the work of Slaney River Trust should make their cheque payable to either Slaney River Trust Ltd or Slaney River Foundation Ltd., and post to the address on the left.
