Catch and Release

When the river was open, Slaney River Trust encouraged members to practice catch & release wherever possible. While the river is closed for salmon fishing it is essential that any salmon or seatrout over 40cm inadvertently hooked while fishing for seatrout under 40cm are returned as carefully as possible.

Members are reminded that single barbless hooks must be used.
